The original heater stood on a raised platform beside a door, with shelving to one side and water piping above. We installed the replacement in the same utility recess.
The finished setup has metal straps across the tank, a pan underneath, and insulation around the overhead water piping. An expansion tank sits beside the heater.
What we completed
- Removed the existing GE gas water heater.
- Installed the new Rheem gas water heater.
- Connected the water and gas lines.
- Installed the required safety components and pipe insulation.
- Tested the system for leaks and proper operation.
Final inspection passed
The completed installation passed the City of Vista final inspection.
Have a water heater in a similar space?
When you contact us, include a photo that shows the whole heater and the space around it. A second photo of the label can help identify the existing equipment. Let us know where the heater sits, whether access is tight, and what has prompted you to consider replacement.
For a setup like this one, the tank, the connections above it, and the nearby doorway all belong in the conversation. We can look at your installation and discuss the replacement work, testing, and inspection steps for your home.
